How To Clean the Dyson Cyclone
The process of cleaning the Dyson cyclone is very simple. With just a few steps and a few hours to let everything dry completely you will have your Dyson running and looking like new.
1.Unplug your Dyson vacuum.
Before attempting any cleaning or emptying of a Dyson Cyclone vacuum always ensure your vacuum is unplugged, especially when the use of water will be involved.
2.Press the canister release button.
The canister release button is located directly on top of the canister. It is generally positioned for easy release with your thumb on top of the main vacuum handle.
3.Empty any contaminants into a waste bin.
4.Remove the cyclone component.
Separate the canister and cyclone components by pressing the release button on the side of the container.
5.Rinse the cyclone and canister in water.
Warm or cold water should not matter. Clean with a soft cloth or sponge until the water exiting the cyclone is clean and clear.
6.Allow time for parts to dry.
Ensure the Cyclone unit is completely dry before reassembling your vacuum cleaner.
